If you need frozen chicken, this brand is not a good choice IMO. I used it a couple of times in the past for stir-fry dishes and it was just OK. However, my last package smelled to high heaven after thawing in the fridge for a few hours, and the texture felt mushy so I had to toss it. I won't order it again.

I thought it would be a good idea, but read the fine print. I'm pretty sure this is chicken they would have had to throw out because it was fast approaching the use-by date. So, they freeze it, and then sell it at a discount. It's a good idea, keeps from wasting it, sure, but don't expect that this is totally-fresh chicken. Better use it right away after thawing it.

I usually buy Mary's Organic, which is by far the best tasting chicken I've found (my vegan mother can even eat it-- the quality is that good). Going from that to Ranger is a huge dissapointment. I'd actually bought this brand on accident-- a mistake I won't make again. The taste is "off" even though it's fresh, and doesn't have that intense flavor that Mary's Organic has.
If you're not picky about flavor and just want something natural, I guess this is a good choice.
