- Grown in Ecuador or Guatemala, Approximately 15 Bananas
Customers have requested bananas that arrive ripe & ready to eat because our "ripe" bananas are shipped slightly green. (We do this because ripening speed will vary due to differences in core or "pulp" temperatures). You might find a slightly spotted banana because of the core temperature issue, but we have priced these bananas to provide a great value. They will arrive ripe and ready to eat or will be perfect for banana bread in a few days if left at room temperature.
Our produce specialists have high standards and take seriously the responsibility of rating the fruits and vegetables
you'll be feeding your family. Each day they carefully review and rate every item. The ratings are refreshed every
afternoon at 4 p.m. to give you a dependable view of the produce you can expect on your doorstep tomorrow.
: Never better — makes our produce specialists say "Wow!"
: Above average — looks and tastes great.
: Meets our high standards.
: Reasonable quality, but expect some inconsistency.
: Not impressive, but available in case you need it.

A Whole Lot of Bananas, 18 June 2012
By Ronald Butler
In brief, lot's of bananas, all nice and fresh. They are delivered semi-ripe in a nice brown paper bag. We ate probably one a day and by the end of the week still had a good dozen. I made 2 giant banana bread cakes because they were beginning to turn too ripe. Great Stuff, we will buy again.
poor quality, 23 November 2009
By Sue Burrows "CorpOffice"
Purchased these for our office. when they arrived, it was clear they were the leftover, single, damaged bananas. They were still somewhat green, which would have been fine, but they were bruised and looked as though they'd had a tough travel life. Normally we go through bananas in two days, but not these - they looked like they spoiled before they ever ripened.
Fantastic Buy, 20 June 2009

A fantastic deal to get a bag full of fresh bananas. They arrived this morning on pre-dawn delivery, and when my kids woke up they wanted them chopped up on their crepes.
Alotta Banana, 16 April 2009
By Dana Kernich "zls23"
It's a little strange that the product description doesn't tell you how many bananas you're getting for $2.99 (or insert current price here). If you've ordered fruit from Amazon Fresh before, then you know that it usually arrives in a small brown paper bag with handles. The same goes for this, only the bag is FULL of bananas. There were around 13 large bananas in my last bag, and they were ripe and ready to eat, as the title suggests. This truly is a ridiculous banana deal (now there's a phrase I never thought I'd use), and it's great if you have a large family or if you're a banana bread baker (like me).
I would like to give you a banana., 23 March 2009

Because I ordered these and it's many many bananas. Like 15 bananas. Best banana value on the web. Would you like a banana? No, really. Would you?
