Rain Shadow Meats is a full-service butchery featuring all local meats, housemade charcuterie and sausages. We are centrally located in the Melrose Market at the base of Capitol Hill in downtown Seattle.

Rain Shadow Meats mission is to bring back the local neighborhood butcher with an emphasis on whole-animal butchery, education, and the creation of community. We work with local farms to provide farmers with a means to reach the public through our customers and to guarantee the highest quality products. Opened in 2010 and establishing it self as the premier full service butcher shop in Seattle. Focusing on naturally raised meats from all over the Northwest between Washington and Oregon. All of our steaks, chops and roast are hand trimmed to insure quality and freshness. All sausages are seasoned with fresh ground spices and whole herbs, mixed and twisted by hand. The Charcuterie program is what really stands out from other butcheries as the ever evolving selections change with season and availability.
